• Service Writer

Munroe Motors is looking for a full-time service advisor to join the team. We are full service dealership for Ducati, Triumph, Husqvarna, MV Agusta & Moto Guzzi. Would prefer an individual with automotive or motorcycle service writing experience but willing to train the right individual. The ideal candidate should be familiar with motorcycle repair and maintenance; ability to discern part diagrams and understand diagnostic processes are crucial. 

Responsibilities include:

- Establish motorcycle problems by listening to customers' description of symptoms; clarifying and querying so as to properly diagnose the customer's needs

- Draft repair orders by interpreting customer needs, problems and causes discovered; repairs performed and services recommended. 

- Prepares estimates by evaluating materials and labor; calculating customer's payment, including insurance deductibles.

- Develop customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtaining customer's approval for estimates; obtaining and providing contact information; scheduling services; answering questions and concerns

- Maintains accurate records by documenting problems and services along with diagnostic measures taken. Verifies warranty coverage and communicates provisions and exclusions to the customer.

- Updates job knowledge by participating in manufacturer certified training and maintaining the most up-to-date knowledge by reading technical bulletins.

- Excellent phone & computer skills required. Excel and Lightspeed background a plus.

• Valid driver's license with M1 endorsement -Basic computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of customers and fellow employees.
• The ability to learn new products and interpret documents such as parts catalogues.
• The ability to follow instructions from the management team.
• Self motivated.
